DURADUCT^® SMT and DURADUCT^® LT ductwork systems are made from DURASTEEL^® boards and use mild steel angles as framing members. DURADUCT^® ducts can be constructed in very large dimensions, with approvals available up to 10m wide.

DURASTEEL® is highly resistant to moisture and retains its mechanical integrity even when saturated. It will not absorb combustible fluids such as cooking oil in kitchen extract ducts and has exceptional fire resistant qualities.

DURADUCT^® systems are available which will provide up to 240 minutes in terms of stability, integrity and full insulation criteria, for ducts exposed to both external and internal fires. DURADUCT^® ducts offer protection to suit the demands of the most modern developments.

DURASTEEL® withstands hose stream action and, because of its very low moisture absorption, it can be used externally. It is not susceptible to damage often caused by moisture or sprinkler actuation during the early stages of delivery and installation of a fire-rated ductwork system.

DURASTEEL® has a tremendous resistance to impact and has high flexural strength, giving added protection in the early stages of construction and throughout the life of the building.

DURASTEEL® ducts can be designed to withstand extremely high operational positive and negative pressures combined with very low leakage rates, making them very suitable for systems exposed to extremes of vibration and pressure etc.
